Respondent agreed to a coordinated resolution with the SEC and U.S. DOJ to settle charges that it obtained and retained global business by engaging foreign officials, their relatives, and their associates as third-party intermediaries, business development consultants and finders. The regulators found that approximately $7 million was paid for bribes or unknown services and recorded as legitimate business expenses.
