September 28, 2020

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V.

Financial Fraud

Defendants: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V.

Respondent, a British company that sells vehicles in the U.S. through a Michigan-based subsidiary, settled charges that it failed to sufficiently disclose the limited scope of an emissions systems audit touted in its public disclosures. In addition, at the time of the alleged misleading disclosures, concerns had been raised by, inter alia, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency about the emissions systems in certain of Respondent’s diesel vehicles.
