As Director of Market Intelligence and a founding member of our Whistleblower Representation Practice, Bill leverages his training as a JD, CPA, CFE and CFA charterholder to evaluate cases and assist our partners in the preparation of SEC whistleblower submissions.
Over the years, Bill has conducted sophisticated legal and financial analyses of over one hundred cases involving possible securities violations. These cases have involved a wide variety of claims and resulted in monetary relief for harmed investors in excess of $3 billion.
Bill has extensive securities experience. Prior to joining Labaton Sucharow, Bill worked as a banking and finance associate at Mayer Brown, where he drafted and analyzed credit default swaps, indentures, and offering documents. Before becoming a lawyer, for more than 10 years, he served in various accounting and finance roles, including as a Controller and Commodity Trader. In these roles, he developed a deep understanding of accounting standards and practices, securities analysis, securities and commodity trading, derivative transactions, and asset-backed securities. He began his career as an audit associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Bill is a Certified Public Accountant, CFA® charterholder, Certified Fraud Examiner and admitted to practice law in New York.
